We use something called short-wave infrared (SWIR). Now, don’t let the technical name bore you. Here is the real-world difference: a normal heater just warms up the air. SWIR is different. It goes straight for the water. When you flip the switch, the energy hits the water molecules hiding in your grout and silicone seals. It basically pushes the moisture out of those porous spots and evaporates it fast. Since mold needs a damp place to move in and set up shop, taking away that moisture stops the problem before it even starts.
Keeping the guts dry
Water and electricity are a nightmare pairing. That’s why we stick to IP65 standards. In plain English? The housing is tight. Dust can’t get in, and water jets won’t break it. The tricky part is the seals. These things expand and shrink every time they heat up and cool down. If a gasket fails, steam leaks into the electronics and fries the whole unit.
