The actual physics (simplified)
Voltage isn’t just a number on a spec sheet. It changes how the lamp is physically built. To get the right wattage at 575V compared to 110V, we have to tweak the length and thickness of the tungsten filament. Here is the upside: higher voltage lets you push more power with less current. That means you can use thinner wiring across your machine, which cleans up the whole footprint. But a word of caution. High-voltage tubes getintense. If you’re pushing 480V through a short-wave emitter, make sure your housing and fans can actually handle that heat. If they can’t, you’re going to end up with warped reflectors.
Keeping things clear
We use high-purity quartz glass to wrap the halogen cycle. This is key because it stops the tungsten from gunking up the inside of the tube. Your infrared transmission stays crisp for the life of the lamp. And we don’t do “one size fits all” with the hardware. Making it work in the real world
The best part? You can ditch the step-down transformers in your PET blowing or curing lines. You just wire the lamps straight into your industrial bus. It makes your electrical schematics way simpler and gives you fewer things that can break. Just do yourself a favor: double-check that your controller’s SCR rating matches the peak current of the bulb. Nobody likes blowing fuses the second they hit the “start” button.
